These are beautiful handmade runes - sawn (by hand) from the same piece of wood. They are sanded smooth and the rune symbols are burnt onto the wood, rather than painted on, so this set will last for a very long time. The runes are of the elder futhark system and as such include 24 runes - a blank rune is included also.

Thought by some to be Yggdrasil, the great World Tree of Norse mythology, the yew tree has existed since before the Ice Age. Associated with everlasting life, rebirth and transformation, it is used magically for seeking visions, travelling between worlds and exploring the mysteries of life and death.

A wonderful new range of hand made wooden Runes. Please note that rune sets will be of various sizes and not one generic size. This is because they are made from fallen branches, no trees are cut deliberately to make these runes. All wood runes come in a very simple cloth or felt pouch.
